Maybe it does that, can't tell, but the taste is not nearly as good. In fact I don't like the vanilla at all (my favorite in the regular whey isolate), although the chocolate is a bit better. Neither mix as well as the whey isolate, which just instantly mixes. This one tends to clump without longer mixing in a blender apparatus.
