They comfortably hold 2x4mm cable if your running a heavy ring main. Review: A very worthy contender for quality-concerned folk - Seems to be even better than previous MK sockets, which to my mind had declined in quality over recent years (Crabtree were my go-to socket before); but this one is really excellent. The ONLY reason I've given it 4 stars is because the switches require noticeably less pressure to turn them 'off' for some reason, and my worry is that if one inadvertently knocks or lightly presses them by accident, that the power will be switched off. This may never happen, and hasn't to date, but it's nevertheless disconcerting. However, bear in mind that a consequence of outboard rockers is that the two sockets are much closer together than a socket with switches in the middle. Fine for standard plugs but not good for any kind of adapter, as if you have two adapters they probably won’t plug in next to each other.
