## Description

Powerful 140mm cooling fan with Flow Acceleration Channels and IP52 water/dust protection, designed for industrial heavy-duty applications requiring extreme cooling.

Review: Thoroughly recommended. - These fans are incredible. I highly recommend these fans and especially the Noctua brand of fans. I chose the 3000rpm because they have that extra bit of power if needed but they do a great job and just browsing or doing normal stuff that are great at 400rpm, a bit more intensive stuff they go up to 800rpm and for gaming they really shine at between 1400-1800rpm (most I’ve got up to in a game was 2100rpm Total War: Warhammer running at Ultra settings) The NF-F14 PPC 3000rpm moves an incredible amount of air and has great static pressure, the highest on the market. I have two as intake fans on the front of my case and one at the rear as an extractor fan. This create a “positive pressure” inside the case and there’s more cooler air coming in, I have the rear fan running a little faster to extract the warm air inside and the dust won’t settle in and on the parts inside. They are loud above 2000rpm but because of the air they move at around that speed don’t have to go beyond that and run at their the maximum speed except if you’re really pushing the components at a heavy load. I’d recommend to anyone if even you’re concerned about the noise at most they are 40decibels and in comparison are half the noise of a Henry Hoover (~80dcb) you can set it via the BIOS or 3rd party software the speeds that they run at speed you need via fixed RPM or let the BIOS control the temperature to speed ratio thereby running the fans higher at a lower temperature you can prevent a sudden build up of heat which means they have to spin up at higher temperatures rapidly. The only shame is you don’t get the accesories like the cheaper models have and its very sparse in the package but the price is well worth it seeing as how they’re going to massively extend the life of your components and keep your PC going for a long time.
Review: Cooling Powerhouse for My PC - I've been tinkering with my gaming rig for a while now and recently decided to upgrade my cooling solution. So I grabbed one of these heavy-duty fans, and honestly, it’s been a game changer. Right out of the box, I could feel the quality. It’s solid and not cheap feeling at all. Installation was a breeze. I just popped it in place, plugged it into the motherboard, and that was it. The first thing I noticed was how quiet it is. I mean at 3000 RPM, I expected it to be loud, but it really isn’t. You can barely hear it even when I’m pushing my system hard during those intense gaming sessions. The airflow is impressive. I've been monitoring my CPU temps, and I’m seeing a noticeable drop. When I’m gaming for hours, the temps stay way more stable than before. This fan really moves some air around. If you’re someone who wants to keep your rig cool without turning your room into an air conditioner, this is a solid pick. For the price, I think it’s totally worth it. It’s durable and seems like it'll last a long time. If you’re looking for a reliable cooling solution that performs well and doesn’t break the bank, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a shot. It’s made a big difference for me, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I'm confused on what the difference between the non-focused flow SSO2 fans are and the focused flow ones, any help?**
A: The NF-A14 is a Static Pressure Fan. Static pressure is the force the air can pushed out of the fan. High air flow is a measurement of cubic feet per minute of air the fan can move at its peak.Usually a High static pressure fan will have a High CFM also. The reasons to get a High static pressure fan is if you need to blow air through a radiator/CPU cooler or even Pull air through a screen filter. This are where you need the pressure. Unlike, say a rear exhaust fan, where nothing obstructs the airflow. This fan will be good for any placement you decide on in your case as it does move a ton of air no matter what. Just make sure you have it plugged into something that controls the speed based on the heat and not just running at 100% speed all the time as it will be loud at 3K RPM and almost silent at 1K or below. Also the NF-F14 has more airflow than the NF-F12.

**Q: Do these come with a Y-Cable?**
A: No. Y-cables need to be purchased separately.

**Q: Can you use an ULNA on this Fans? At what RPMS they will run with it at full load?**
A: These fans draw considerably more current than the non-commercial fans. I don't know the current handling capacity of the ULNA you are considering but, if it is one from Noctua's other fans, I would worry about its reliability. The fan is designed to be controlled by PWM and the minimum speed it can run at in that environment is about 1300 RPM (40-42% PWM). Wide open the fan runs at 2900-3000 RPM. These fans are designed for maximum air flow and, while they are pretty mechanically silent, the air flow will generate some noise - especially if you have a filter in front of the fan.

**Q: How loud is this thing / which model is quietist?**
A: Doesn't serm load to me . I've got 2 in my server but i also have less hearing & tolerate my sever. I've never been told too loud, & you can throttle it if needed. Happy about cooling of it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you want to put a V8 in your Mini, now is your chance!!
*by A***E on 28 August 2019*

I bought 3 of these to replace the fans in a Fractal define 6 case and have connected them using the Noctua NA-FC1 fan controller. I had some teething issues controlling the fan speeds but later discovered the 4 pin system fan connectors on my motherboard did not support pwm. However the cpu fan connecter does support pwm so with the use of an amazon essentials splitter to the fan controller I was able to share the fan speed curve from the CPU with the case fans. It is recommended to get a controller with these fans as they draw a lot of power when they open up. With the controller set at around half power the fan curve has them running from 400rpm to around 1350rpm depending on load and the cooling has proved to be excellent and pretty much silent while under normal daily use. I can hear the fans when gaming of course and would say they become noticeable at around 1100 rpm. However if I crank them up to full power (which I don't need to do and less playing with the overclock) the sound is insane and yet I am grinning like a Cheshire Cat because the sheer volume of air I can feel the fans moving is massive, the PC was cold alright the hole room went Baltic!! If you want to put a V8 in your Mini, now is your chance, it's up to you how you drive it!!
