I can still listen to music, make phone calls and hear sat nav directions when I'm wearing them but the 'white' wind noise has been drastically cut down. The metal storage containers are good and solid but you have to top and tail the plugs when you put them in the tubes otherwise they get stuck. The promo said these will reduce the volume and not the quality, and I have to say that is exactly what they do. Comfortable and for once I came away from rehearsals without my ears ringing. Whilst playing I could hear much more clearly, more clearly in fact than without them as the overall volume is just to overwhelming. Has to be 5 stars, excellent product.
