If you run a Mac, its desktop environment is automatically upscaled so most UI elements will, also automatically, look sharper.Windows has built in UI scaling too and you can get it done via Control Panel, but it's not a universal implementation so the UI elements get super small, and most icons (eg desktop, inside softwares like Microsoft Excel) get major pixelation / placement issues. This really sucks for people like me, who rely on a Windows system for 99% of the time every day. Even something as simple as text on a website will vary greatly in sharpness depending on the browser you use and whether it has properly implemented 4K support.For the time being, I'd say try stick with your current monitor for another year or so.
