Installation is as easy as one of these covers gets. It is very strong and looks great.Locks securely as long as your tailgate locks, and no need to keep track of a key...like the one I lost from my last cover.So easy to open and close and even totally remove if you have to. previously I sacrificed some space to my tri-fold, but since getting this I have never looked back, unless to say..why did i wait so long =)I get a drip or two near the tail end in heavy rain or the car wash, but I haven't taken the time to see why as it has not been enough to bother me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome cover! Love it *by R***W on October 3, 2021* After I got a few quotes for a camper shell for my truck that would cost about as much as some used cars, I opted to buy a cover like this instead. I actually ordered the Gator brand FX first directly from the Gator website. I received a previous customers incomplete and busted return. So it took a while to return it and the company itself is pretty hard to work with. I’m pretty sure Bakflip and Gator are the same company, if you look at the websites they look identical. Because of the difficulty working with the company I decided to purchase from Amazon who will take any return back if you have a problem. Went with the bakflip so I could close the tailgate without opening the last panel, other than that they are pretty much identical to the Gators. I got a good new one in a nice box and it installed really easy and quick. You’re going to need a friend to hold the top of the bolt that connects the cover to the rails so you can push from underneath and tighten the star knobs. I don’t expect it to be waterproof, some water will surely leak in but the drain tubes went in really easy (zip tie the top section that connects to the rails!) and seem to work. Stick a little piece of the foam bulkhead stripping on the ends of the rail gutters at the tailgate end to keep water from dumping out that side. I don’t see why they left one side open like that. If you have a lot of pine straw and leaves then these gutters will probably need to be cleaned somewhat regularly. The whole cover could be another inch long to have better overlap at the front and tail ends but it works. If they could build in some battery powered motion lights to the underside of the panels would be really cool. I like it a lot but be careful ordering direct from the manufacture site prepare to talk with several people if you have issues. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’m in my eighties and I installed it myself with a little help from my wife *by E***N on October 23, 2024* I’m not as agile as I was before but I followed directions as best as I could. I encountered one problem, the drain bole on the passenger side wasn’t there. So I got under that side to find out what was going on There is a heat shield from the cab to the spare tire. Called Bakflip manufacturer and got no help.
