This bass was made for any type of music: Funk, R & B, Soul. It has a rich, deep sound. It is ready to play right out of the box. Good strings on it also. The late, great Louis 'Thunder Thumbs' Johnson (MJ's Bassist), The Great Bootsy Collins and BrownMark (Prince's second Bassist) are Fender Jazz fans. Don't know if my man Larry Graham uses it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Plays Beautifully *by T***M on Reviewed in the United States on 18 November 2013* Magnificent. Great amount of tonal range with the Jazz and Precision pickups. I still need to adjust the action and change the strings to make this more playable. However, those are rather easy things to fix when the body of the bass guitar and the electronics are so sound.
