The leash works smoothly and the button stops the leash easily. The locking mechanism took some getting used to since it is so different than other leashes I have had. The one has a little section on the button that you just move forward. Much easier than trying to move the whole brake button forward. And it operates smoothly. Did I say how smoothly this leash operates.
