## Description

The first book in the bestselling spin off series from Percy Jackson and the Olympians, featuring the original hero – now in a brand-new look! Seven Heroes. One Prophecy. Destiny Calls. When Jason, Piper and Leo crash land at Camp Half-Blood, they have no idea what to expect. A haven for the children of the Greek Gods, like the famous Percy Jackson, they are apparently safe here – despite the monsters roaming the woods. . . But before they can settle into their new lives as demigods, the trio are thrown into a quest – to rescue Hera, Queen of the Gods, from the clutches of a new, and terrifying, enemy. If they fail? Demigods will turn on each other, the Giants will overrun Mount Olympus and it’ll be the end of them all. . . So, no big deal! Return to the World of Percy Jackson in the best-selling, brand-new adventure featuring the original hero in Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Wrath of the Triple Goddess – out now!

Review: Spolier free review - This is the first book in Rick Riordan’s The Heroes Of Olympus series. This series is the spin off series to the Percy Jackson and The Olympians series. I have not read all of the previous series, with only the first book having being read. I will be going back a reading that series once I have finished with this one. I wondered if having skipped the Percy Jackson series would effect my enjoyment of this book, with things like references or characters. But my fears were unfounded this book provides enough background information for it to stand on its own. The book focuses on three new children who just discovered their demi-god heritage and there first quest in the world. I liked the development of the three new demi-gods and they learnt about the ‘other’ world and there own powers. Each of them are unique and fun to read about. I liked the length and the pacing in this book. There is enough story to give a nice amount environment setting while not waffling and slowing the story down. The main story was interesting, which I won’t go into here so as to not spoil it for others. There is not much in this book that I can think of as disliking. In fact after sitting here for a few minutes and coming up empty for something to say I didn't like, the only thing I could think of was having to wait for the next book in the series to arrive. I really enjoyed this first book. Which kind of surprised me considering its target audience. The three main characters were interesting and diverse leading to you connecting with them. The story was well paced, with nothing that felt it was added just to increase the word count. Overall this is a very nice book. I have now placed my order for all of the other books in the series. Lets hope they live up to my expectations after having read thus one. I would rate this book a 9 out of 10.
Review: It just gets better... - It was a tough task, really. It would get a bit stale if the author just carried on in the same, unchanged universe. On the other hand we'd feel cheated if things changed too much and we didn't get what we paid for. I'm pleased to say that Rick's played it just right. The characters are great (humans, demis, and others), and there's a great new twist which has set the stage for this series. Unfortunately I can't tell you too much in this review, since the twist pretty much forms the plot of this first book. Safe to say, if you liked Percy Jackson, you'll love this book. And if you haven't read the Percy Jackson books, best start back there - this one will still be waiting when you get to it. Brilliant, brilliant book.

I loved this book, after reading all the percy jackson, apollo and heroes of olympus books. iI had so much knowledge! I kept on re reading them over and over! i love these books and felt emmotionally attached when (SPOILERS) Leo almost died. I loved Leos sense of humor and he was such a amazing character.… But alas i cannot bear to read this book (SPOLERS FROM APOLLO BOOK) as i know jason is well and truly dead… my heart aches so much during this and i am crying. I loved Percy more but with Jason dead it made me so physically upset.. i am emotional and its really really horryfying jason didnt die heroically and… i cant im crying i hate it.. i need book four to come out as i hope jason can revive.. im aching... GREAT BOOKS X
