It kills the grubs... not the adults, not the eggs. If you have vine weevils a single application will not eradicate them as there will be eggs left to hatch ad adults left to lay eggs. Adults die off each the winter so you will not see significant improvement until the following year and then only if you have done several treatments. **Q: Weevils in my honeysuckle barrel! I've picked loads out and replaced 1/3 soil. Shall I order this now. Does it have to be used in March? Thank you!** A: March ( early spring) fine but works best for me when soil temperature is above 12 degrees. A second early autumn treatment is good too. This is a very good product which was delivered promptly. I used it on my potted strawberries and blueberries after a few were destroyed by these destructive little grubs. I also did a small test after I received this product by mixing some live vine weevil grubs (which killed my strawberry plants) into the compost of a few pots and then added some of this killer to the potted soil. After one week I checked the condition of the vine weevils. They all looked quite dead or almost dead.
