## Description

From the manufacturer DI20 Professional Active 2-Channel DI-Box/Splitter Professional and multi-purpose direct injection box for stage and studio applications Provides impedance and signal matching for the direct connection of instruments to mixers and amplifiers Converts 2 independent unbalanced 1/4'' TRS line inputs into 2 balanced XLR outputs Additional Split mode (channel 1 assigns signal to both XLR outputs) Ultra-flat frequency response due to servo-balanced operation Internal power source automatically shuts off when phantom power is applied Allows direct connection to speaker outputs with up to 3,000 Watts Ground Lift switch eliminates typical ground loop problems Input 2 usable as channel 1 Link output (additional to XLR output) ¼" TRS and gold-plated XLR connectors ULTRA-DI DI20 The ULTRA-DI DI20 is a one-of-a-kind DI (Direct Injection) box that can convert up to two separate, unbalanced ¼ " TRS lines into two balanced XLR outputs – or function as a signal splitter. Electric guitarists, keyboardists and bassists will love the flexibility the incredible DI20 provides both in the studio and on the stage. Mono, Stereo or Double the Amps By flipping a switch, you can use the DI20 as a launching pad for two separate mono signals, a stereo signal – or a split-signal feeding two separate amps. The DI20 also features a superb ground-lift switch, and the 3-position input attenuator can accommodate input levels of up to +48 dBu. This handy built-in attenuator also allows you to connect directly to your amplifier’s speaker outputs, even amps rated as high as 3,000 Watts. You can power the DI20 with either a 9 V power source or your mixer’s phantom power supply (+18 to +48 V DC). The whole package is wrapped in an ultra-compact, road-suitable, and rugged metal housing. Be Direct If you’re a working musician who demands uncompromising functionality and durability, the ULTRADI DI20 will astound you. Review: Just great for the money - I have a few of these now and use them for a variety of applications. For the money, I don't think you can better these. And it's 2 DI boxes in one so even better value. I use for direct connection to non hi-z mixer inputs (for guitars, keyboards and other line sources e.g. phones), enabling long balanced XLR connections to the mixer or stage box too. Powered by either battery or phantom power from the mixer. Both work equally well. Just remember to turn the box off when not using it so the battery is not drained. Switches on the front control a attenuation pad (I rarely need to use this), ground lift if you get any hum on the connection, battery on/off (off position required if using mixer phantom power) and link (changes it from a double DI box to a single one with a pass through to an amp or equivalent). I have just added more to my existing pool of these and have had 10 years fault free use from some. Fully recommend.
Review: Cheap and reliable - always worth keeping one around - Does Behringer make the best quality audio products around? No. But are they inexpensive and reliable? Yes. I keep this one in my keyboard case, along with a couple of jack leads, so I can always plug into a sound system if I arrive at a new venue that doesn't have enough of its own kit. I've also used the link function to send an output to the sound desk for FOH while also feeding a small powered foldback speaker for myself. You'll notice that all the connections are on the top, rather than front and back of the unit as with most other DI boxes. I quite like this - because it makes it easy to plug everything in on a crowded stage - but you might not.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I'm confused with the phantom power scenario. Phantom power comes from the input of my audio interface (to go to mics etc).**
A: Hi, DI boxes come in 2 types, passive and active. Passive ones just have a transformer in them and match the level and impedance of an instrument, keyboard or guitar amp to be a signal similar to that produced by a microphone. You can therefore use the DI box to feed almost anything into any mixer or mic pre-amp that would normally take a mic.An active DI has a load of electronics in it but otherwise does exactly the same job as the passive ones. The electronics need power to run. This can be power from a battery but many, like this one, an take their power from the phantom powwer that many mixers provide for powering condenser mics.Do please buy from us if you want to get our quality after-sales service.

**Q: hi. is this suitable to boost the level from a line out of a cd player,as im not getting enough level into my new crown power amp (no mixer)**
A: Unfortunately, not no. The DI box has attenuation switches on it which lets you lower the input volume of the source, however, it will not let you boost the level of a signal at the output stage.I hope this helps.Ben Jessen

**Q: Can i split single guitar input to two audio outs, one out going to audio interface, one out going to fx pedal, & still use phantom power? thanks.**
A: Yes, you certainly can. Set the 'Mode' switch to link.

**Q: What is the frequency response?**
A: https://media.music-group.com/media/PLM/data/docs/P0062/DI100_P0062_M_EN.pdf10 Hz to 93 kHz

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ More useful than a Swiss army….well you know the rest….
*by M***K on 4 April 2026*

If you’re a musician (why else would you be looking at this) buy it ! Simple, every musician should carry one or two of these in their kitbag. Battery operated it offers you the flexibility you need, bass straight into a desk? Acoustic into a desk, even to split your stereo tracks into two different systems e.g. click to one place, traxx to another. Nice handy switching as well to boost or cut if needed, fairly robust metal casing as well. At this price why wouldn’t you have one (even two) there’s a lot of DI boxes out there, but at this price, the Behringer can’t be beaten.
