It is attached by metal clips to metal rings - no weak plastic here ! On the outside there is a very large zipped pocket which has internal pockets for batteries etc. A rain protector is also provided that covers the whole bag and is elasticated. There are several tripod / monopod lugs around the bag. The bottom has plastic grip feet. The limitation of the bag is not the amount of gear you can fit into it, which is a lot, but how much weight you are willing or able to carry. The first time I used mine, I filled it with everything I thought I might possibly need, which was a mistake. After an hour or so of carrying the fully-loaded bag around on my shoulder I'd had enough and cut short my outing. I've since found a backpack is much better for carrying large amounts of gear- having only the one strap on this bag soon results in a backache. I have a number of LowePro bags and the like, and they are great, but this is of equal quality if not better for a quarter of the price. PROS: Price Quality (it feels tough... real tough!) Versatility - There are lots of pockets, lots of loops and the like. There are straps for a tripod, loops on the back to attach the bag to other luggage, the list goes on! Dividers - They are thick and plentiful (although one or two more would have been good), I feel that my precious equipment will be just fine in this bag. CONS: Would have liked a couple more dividers I suspect the leather look handle will perish with prolonged use, I would have preferred a simple ripstop one. I can no doubt cut it off as and when it goes, and do that myself Would have loved for this bag to have a laptop section in the lid or similar, as it has EVERYTHING else, why not go the full distance and include somewhere for your laptop. For this reason I probably wouldn't grab this to travel with, as my macbook is attached to me! I would buy this again, and probably will do. For wedding / location / mobile portrait photographers this is the perfect companion.
