It is large, sturdy and the holes are small enough to catch rice sized pieces bit large enough to let couscous sized grains through. The only reason why the cleaning is not 5 stars is that by its very nature, when clumping litter comes into contact with liquid it congeals so around the base of the sieve I need to use a knife point to get the residue out - but this is a minor point on what is a great quality product. Stainless steel products are normally on the pricey size and this is a good weight.
