I checked it using s 36" yardstick and inserted it into the case. Also, is the outside poket removeable?** A: There is a sleeve inside, so it will only hold 1 shaft. The outside pocket is made to be move, but not removable. I have no idea how it works for a pool cue, but it is perfect and protective for a 1/2 size French bow. The little pouch that is meant to hold chalk is a perfect fit for a container of rosin. My daughter carries her bow to school every day, and this case keeps the bow dust and damage-free. The smooth black leather lets her decorate the outside with stickers. All in all a great product for musicians as they wait for their CUE.
