**Q: How do you apply this? Do you have to take the wheel off and apply it to the pads?**
A: Search “SquealOut YouTube video” or go to their website. Instructional video shows how to apply. You can apply to rotors while wheels are on bike, but you need to remove wheel to clean brake pads after application.

A: yes, when following proper procedure, it works beautifully! Because some people seem to think that this stuff will just take away the squeal without them doing anything more, I'm going to explain how this stuff works: it is an abrasive.

This stuff takes away the squeal by removing the material deposited onto the rotor, and abrading the smooth surface of the pad. It returns the pads and rotor to a near new state, which means that you now need to re-bed those pads into that rotor. When you buy a brand new bike from a dealer, this is already done for you. Methods for doing this vary, but are easily found with a simple search. MTBR is a good, reliable source for this information.

A reduction in stopping power is normal, as the paste initially acts as a lubricant; however, once the paste has done it's job (you will know because you will start feeling a small bit of bite in the brakes), it is up to YOU to prevent the returning squeal. You must bed in the newly resurfaced rotors and pads properly, otherwise all the time and effort you put into banishing that squeal will be for nothing.

**Q: Can I put this on my rim**
A: If you are asking about a friction rim brake on a bike I would say this stuff is not for that - only disk brakes . If you are asking about a car brake, no this is for bikes only.
