Even using my gentle Neutrogena Pink grapefruit face wash during a flareup causes a little irritation and redness, but this soap does nothing but exfoliate. I'm astounded how well it breaks down all the flaky dry patches of skin without any irritation. I used to have dry bits around the cracks of my nose, and a patch on the end of my nose. No more! Lathers up beautifully and leaves your skin feeling really refreshed and soft. The only complaint that I do have about this soap is that the scrubbing particles don't really do much for exfoliation, and because the bar has a lot of acid in it, it can cause a bit of irritation.
