Flicker is also just like a wicked candle - very realistic. Glow is the perfect brightness. Once you turn on, they will come back on at the same time each night at the same time. There is no remote with these candles, however. Also, unlike some of these candles that pop out of the candle holder due to the type of rubber and design of the end piece, these candles will easily stay in any holder. They come with a rubber overlay for the end piece, which is helpful. I've never had one of these candles pop out of a holder.
