At first I hung them up in the nets from my window (I'm on the second floor opposite a park) and the birds loved them so much that I bought them their own suet ball feeders from Amazon too. The feeders I bought were the green three ball feeders. Throughout the winter, spring and summer they've been the favourite food of the birds. I also provide sunflower seeds, mealworm and mixed small seeds but if I had to choose what to keep of them all, it'd be these suet balls. Its mainly the bluetits and greattits that fight over them but recently I've made a new friend, a nuthatch! O didn't even know what a nuthatch was until it came to my window, what a treat! The only birds that are not interested are the robins, but they're happy with the smaller seeds I also leave out. I'm happily buying my second box of these now. I'm buying the ones in nets again, even though I remove them, because I think it holds them together. Every single ball was a perfect ball and there are no crumbs in the bottom as I come to the end of the box.
