Does anybody know if this is good for making the sound of the Sweep puppet from Sooty?** A: No. you would need a double reed (oboe, cor anglais or bassoon) to make a squeaking noise **Q: Do these make a noise on their own or do I need a mouthpiece too? I don’t have a saxophone, I just want to make the voice of sweep for my children!** A: Saxophone and clarinets have a single Reed. They do not make a noise on their own. Suggest you buy a mouth-organ or a gazoo. Comb and tissue paper works as well. **Q: Do these fit an alto alphasax as well?** A: I was curious so I rang Alpha Sax and it is the same size as an alto but with fewer side keys and complexity so easier to play for kids or beginners.
