Review: CKLau 4 PC KVM plus audio and USB 2 ports - Since installation: So far has worked flawlessly. Nice solid construction too. I like the fact it is powered by its included powerpack. The previous KVM I tried would not work with just one computer on and also would drop out occasionally. Very annoying. That KVM was by another company. I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable price too. Only con is the leads could be a bit longer. But I like the fact that all the connections are via one HDMI lead into the back of the KVM and then video, USB audio. Microphone are all behind the computer. Using with a Logitech wireless keyboard and trackball combinations and installed with no problem. I've just ordered a second one for my setup in my upstairs computer room So here's hoping the KVM remains reliable. Would like to know if longer leads are available.

**Q: Does this support uhd 4k, ie: 3840x2160/30p ?  another kvm i bought that claimed 4k support only supports 1080p/1080p 3d ...**
A: Keep in mind that the video card and the monitor has to support 3840 x 2160 4K resolution 
I have mine connected and I get 2560 x 1440 which is the max resolution that my monitor supports. Check your video display settings in your computer to find out what is the recommended setting that windows found for your display.

**Q: Does the switch “proxy” edid information when the host isn’t selected to talk directly to the monitor?**
A: Its supposed to, but I have not found this magical 1080p/auto edid button that the manual keeps mentioning.  So my lg ultrawide is stuck on 1080p for all 4 of my pc.

**Q: Will this work with a microsoft surface pro? does it come with the cables i will need?**
A: NO - you would have to purchase more.  All Surface Pro's only have 1x USB port and 1x mini-Display Port (not HDMI).  You would have to purchase a mini-DP to HDMI video adapter (less than $10) to use it with this switch.
Microsoft does sell a port replicator (~$150), but it also only has mini-DP video ports (so it does NOT help you to buy that).  "Orion" said "Micro Surface Dock" could plug into this KVM,  but only "later" said that you still need a video adapter.
If you need this HDMI KVM switch, the easiest/best/cheapest thing to do would be to buy a simple "mini-DP to HDMI" video adapter and plug the (now HDMI) and USB into this KVM switch.

**Q: Is there a published instruction manual? I cannot seem to switch from windows 10, raspberian, or ubuntu. What are the keyboard and mouse commands?**
A: A user manual should have come with the unit which gives keyboard hot-key switching codes. Double clicking the mouse scroll wheel should step you through the ports. You can also use the manual button for switching toa port.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product and reduce cable clutter also!

The KVM Switch worked very well in my setup which consists of: 1. Mac Mini M1 2. Windows PC 3. Macbook Pro i7 4. Nintendo Switch 2 Things to Note: Audio is provided via the 3mm input jack to the 3mm output via their custom HDMI cables. Because of this I had to connect my Nintendo's Switch via a normal HDMI cable to route sound from the Monitor's audio bypass to my speakers. The USB hub that consolidate the Mouse, Keyboard and the additional USB input into a single USB input (via their custom cable) masks my Steel Series mouse from the Steel Series driver app. Any mouse and keyboard connected via the hub will end up as a "Generic" device. They work as mouse and keyboard, but you will not be able to get your manufacturer's drivers to see the devices. Other than that the setup is great. I have had 2 KVM Switches in the past and this one beats them in terms of quality and ease of use. There is no dropped HDMI signals.
