Board is made from beech and birch wood. Felt bottom chessmen are made from hornbeam and sycamore wood. Hand crafted in Poland. Directions Instructions for use: 1. Open the wooden box. 2. Pull the pieces from the box and place them on the chessboard. 3. Start playing chess. 4. At the end of the game, store the pieces in the box. 5. Close the wooden box.

**Q: Many complaints about the weight of the pieces. Can holes be drilled to insert screws for weight?**
A: I'm debating on this item, but I do have a thought on the weight...What if you were to carefully take off the felt and add a matching size magnet w/glue and then replace the felt?  Just a thought. Not sure if the size matters, lol, but maybe that would be easier to add weight vs. drilling any holes and risking cracking the wood...Great reviews so far, thanks people!!
