Also, unlike Tournament Size chess sets, where the board is invariably plastic, (rolled out), this board is stable, so friends/other competitors can borrow it, without having to 're-set' the board. The smaller size makes for easy transportation in our 'chess bag' (large shopping bag) and I just enclose the set in a soft cloth bag, and don't bother with the cardboard packaging. A really ideal, functional product; delighted.
