It works!
This product works very well, exactly as expected, cleans up the cords perfectly, and adheres well to the carpet without damaging it.

Works well even on my home carpet
I know this cord protector is designed for office or industrial carpet, the kind where the fibers are looped over themselves, but it has worked well on the household carpets in my apartment. I didn't know what to expect but was pleased! You can see from my pictures that the velcro doesn't sit down totally flush and bubbles up in some places, but I have not had any problems with it coming away from the floor and it has certainly eliminated the risk of tripping on my extension cord. I've even vacuumed over the Grip Strips a few times and they haven't come undone or moved at all.The cord cover is basically the hook half of a strip of industrial-strength velcro. The price was right and I liked the width which was wider than industrial-strength strips of velcro one can get at the hardware store. I considered buying lengths of strong velcro, but then I would've been left with the soft felt half that wasn't needed for my purposes and isn't any good on its own.I'm quite happy with this cord protector and will not hesitate to purchase more if needed. I prefer this one to the hard plastic ones which are readily available because it was easy to cut this one in order to form an angle to go around a corner (see pic). The hard plastic ones will not bend around a corner, would have been very difficult to cut, and require carpet tape or adhesive strips to keep them in place. It's a big bonus not to have to bother with sticky double-sided tape which may leave residue on my carpet.

Works Great on Berber!!!!
This carpet grip is exactly what I needed for covering an Ethernet cable from my router in the dining room to my Roku in my bedroom. As shown in the lower part of the pic, it sticks to the berber carpet like glue (but is removable), coving the cable. The upper part of the pic (low pile carpet) - NO STICK!!!This product will not work with any type of pile carpeting. I also tried to test it on a few different types of area rugs that I have, and it did not stick to any of them. However, it is winner for berber!!!Extremely quick shipping as well! For my needs, A++++++++++

Secures my cables to the ground very well
I have some cables that have to run from room to room (one crossing a high-traffic doorway (see image)), so securing the cables to the ground was necessary. I have closed-loop carpet, so this Velcro works excellently for my purposes. It is quite wide, so I was able to cut the length I need off the roll, then cut that strip length-wise to get double the footage out of it and still have it wide enough to secure my cables. Very glad I purchased this.

Why didn’t someone invent these earlier?!!! I love them.
I am a high school video production teacher with SO MANY wires and cables running through my classrooms. I have previously used duct tape to hold down my cords but my kids always find a way to make the tape roll into itself—and it is such a PAIN to rip/cut the tape off the cords at the end of the school year. I was looking for an alternate solution and discovered these grip strips. My initial concern was that my kids would flip these over in no time. BUT it’s been about a month and they are stuck like glue to the carpet. Not only that, ive had to do some rearranging in the class, and they peel off when you want them to...and stick back on just as effectively as the first time. I teach at one of the most challenging schools in the nation and if my kids can’t destroy/peel these, they will be quite alright on any floor. One of the best inventions ever.

Pretty useless
Literally barely grabs and would not stay down on a normal carpet. I wouldn’t waste your money.

Only useful for areas without foot traffic
This tape is being used in an office environment on closed loop carpeting. I realize that types of carpet vary but I can only share the experience I'm having with this tape on the particular carpet we have in our office. Your experience may be different as your carpet might be better suited to using this then mine is.It works pretty well along walls and under desks. If you want to run it accross an open space where there will be foot traffic it will not stay put. All one has to do is scuff it slightly with your shoe while walking over it and up it comes. To summarize: it does grip the carpet and will keep a cord pinned to the carpet just in front of a baseboard but must be used in an environment where it won't encounter any foot traffic. If that describes your need I think I'd give it a try.

Simple design, good price. Works as advertised.
No idea why this style of cable cover only recently showed up on my radar, but assuming you've got the right style of carpet this style is not only more economical, but (IMO) more functional and much easier to work with than the hard rubber style. The simple design of this style probably doesn't allow for different brands to stand above their competition, but this particular SKU was well priced, shipped quickly, and works as advertised. The only other comment I'd make is that the "commercial office carpet only" description of what this will work on is a bit misleading.... it should work fine on any looped indoor carpet (think short weave instead of long pile). If you're not sure it would work on your carpet... here's the secret.... this product is quite simply nothing but the hook side of a Velcro (hook & loop) strip. If the hook part of a velcro strip will affix itself securely to your carpet, this product (and all others of the same style) should work fine for you.

Did not know how well this would work
When we purchased this for some meeting rooms at work, we had no idea how well it would stick to commercial carpet. The weave is quite tight so it does not stick as great as we hoped. We will see if the end-users are still able to pull the HDMI cable up. We even went to a flat HDMI cable so that we could have more contact area between the carpet and the Velcro

What a great idea
This is working great and a much better cord cover alternative than most I have seen. I am using it in a doorway and I am not tripping over it. I would recommend this product.
