Safety Warning Not Specific Review: Great quality silver metal clay! - I received this as a gift for Christmas and have since repurchased twice myself as this silver clay is very good quality. As a complete novice it can be tricky to work with on first try but works great once you’ve got the hang of it and make sure you’re not letting it dry out (which can happen quickly). When I’m sanding down my dried finished product before firing, I make sure to keep the dust/ shavings, which I’ve used to make silver paste for repairs, details and filling in cracks. It does feel quite expensive to be spending around £30 for such a small pieces of clay but I’ve mainly been making rings with this and can typically get around 3 rings out of a 10g pack depending on the size/ detail which is great value and the finished rings are incredibly good quality and super sturdy when formed and fired correctly :) Review: Good brand - Love using silver clay. This is a brilliant brand, a little goes a long way. The quantities of 2 and 3 you are seeing at an inflated price are from one seller hoping to capitalise from customers who don't understand how amazon works. As one of many sellers of this product - we have no control over the listing - you would need to complain to Amazon directly. **Q: How long is the firing time when using a torch please?** A: It depends the size of your piece. You can only really fire small pieces up to the size of a 50p piece. I would always fire from around 5 mins for smaller pieces like pendants etc to about 10 mins for larger pieces. I’ve had a few pieces break and inside it’s still clay before if I haven’t fired it for long enough. Better to fire for longer than less time, as long as you are not getting it too hot. Check the colour stays a nice peachy orange whilst firing. If the piece gets too red in colour move torch away until the glow lightens slightly.
