Is there any reason cannot use as a cooking grate because it looks really sturdy?** A: It's generally used as the bottom grate in a Weber kettle grill ( what you would put coals on). It's just an old style basic charcoal grill. I looked at Weber's website however & looks like you can buy sweeper by itself. They also show 2 different charcoal grate sizes, 18" & 22 1/2". If you do have the 22" grill this grate in 22.5 should work. The sweeper is called one touch cleaning system & it comes in 2 sizes, too.
