Review: The old fan died, which made it challenging to figure out what direction this was supposed to go. The two screws that hold the fan together, align perfectly with the old bracket but they were too short. There are some extensions included that might have worked, but instead just replaced the screws with longer ones and used an extra nut to keep the bracket in place. Snip off the old fan wires, and simply attach this one. The instructions are somewhat clear, although they could be better as I think this is aimed at older appliances. After installing it, and having barely below zero temps, reversed it and solved the problem in hours. Don't like how its all exposed, and the cover didnt seem to fasten to anything but we'll see how long this lasts for. Its 1/6 the price of the actual fan. Review: I Replaced the evaporator fan in my fifty-one (51) year old Sears Coldspot refrigerator / freezer side by side with this fan. It works great. My fridge has not worked this well or as quiet for 15 to 20 years! I was running it with the temp set at 4 with 5 being coldest (weird, but that's the how it's designed) for a good ten years. Now it stays set at 2 and the freezer stays at around -5 to 0 F with the fridge at 35 to 38 F. The photos are of the old fan & motor attached to the mounting plate. With a few tweaks re-assemblies, this Supco fit on the mounting plate with good room to clear the installation. I'm happy. My ice cream and burritos stay frozen and my Code Red cold. My apologies. I forgot to photo the assembled new fan but I'm not going to take it back apart, just for pictures. Besides, the total assembly, looks almost identical. NOTE; do not destroy or discard the old parts! You made need them to complete the repair. P. S. : The old fan fit great on the new motor. You may need to trim the shaft a bit. It's designed to break off but you may need more removed to clear the housing.
