I had a few things stored in plastic storage containers that weren't quite airtight, so I just left a Citrus Magic solid down there and it cleared up within a day. While I can't detect the orange scent, it must have completely absorbed the mildew smell because the basement smells pretty neutral now. I recommend you buy the spray if you want an intermittent scent and the solid when you want a long-term odor-absorber. When Walgreens stopped carrying this, I tried orange candles, orange air fresheners, and even a couple of orange perfumes, to no avail. Finally, I remembered that desertcart carries almost everything and saved myself from buying more junk. To be fair, Bath & Body Works made an aromatherapy candle called Energy which was orange and ginger scented. I liked it, but it had a bit of a chemical smell. In fact, it was uncannily similar to the smell of CLR, which surprised me. In the absence of the Citrus Magic, it helped, but then disappeared off the shelves for good. There was an even pricier candle I tried that worked great, but wasn't quite worth its $35 price tag. I can't recall the brand, but it was strong and citrusy, yet still overpriced. By the way, if you were wondering about the labeling, the Tropical Orange scent is the exact same thing as the Fresh Orange scent.
