How to do that? I see different levels.** A: You don’t need to adjust depth with this. It is a calibrated tamper that uses a spring; you push until the resistance gives way and then you are done. It should be sufficiently deep for any double basket. **Q: Why does it have a screw on portion? Am I supposed to adjust/calibrate something?** A: The screw on is just the way it’s put together. No adjustment is possible nor required. **Q: Is the pressure or depth adjustable?** A: No there is no adjustment. It has a pretty good range of depth though that will depend on how much you fill the portafilter basket with your coffee as to how far down it goes.
