However, I have used these many times with an impact driver with no problem. I have some of these sets that are over 20yrs old which still work. Eventually the aluminum part will begin to wear from impact driver use making it difficult to use the flip feature to swap drill for drive. The steel inserts begin to twist into the aluminum causing a jam, making it difficult to remove by hand. **Q: Does this work only for soft material as wood/plastic or with metal as well?** A: I would not use them on Metal, Even through they do not say "Wood" only, they are not made to be used on metal.I would not use them on soft metal like aluminum.good luck **Q: Is the hex that the drill/countersink fits into, the same size hex that the screwdriver bits fit into?** A: Yes, the countersink fits into one side of the Quick Change and the bits will fit into the other side. **Q: Does anyone know if they sell replacement bits?** A: Hi, I don't know if DeWalt sells them but the driver bits are the standard size and therefore available from many suppliers. In fact you can substitute other bits for the ones provided if you need to drive a different headed screw.
