This humidity monitor is for guitars and other stringed instruments. If you're using a gig bag, this can't be successful until you replace it with a decent hard case to keep humidity steady and dispersed. Nomad has a unit with a sponge that requires purified water, and rests between the strings at the sound hole. The monitor attaches easily; problem solved. The monitor is sensitive to any changes in humidity. It is easy to read. I appreciate that the price is amazing. I can sleep at night knowing my investment is safe, protected from neglect. The Nomad humidifier and monitor work well in tandem and are small enough to fit my Travel guitar along with my other acoustics and electric guitars. I love this thing. I had a pricey hygrometer for years in my Martin's case that finally quit. I gave this a chance and amd I'm very pleased. It's accurate when tested and I like the way it unobtrusively sits inside the guitar soundhole.
