It stays on for about 5 minutes after turning it on. The swan has orange popits along the wings. The wings fold up and down manually and the glo worm fits on its back when the wings are up. The head can move up and down and the tail feathers can be moved up or down. It has wheels on the bottom to help it roll as my 3 year old drives it across the floor. It doesn't really do any motions while it moves across the floor. It would be cool if it did but overall my 3 year old loves this toy and is constantly driving and flying it. One issue we had with this is one green knob on the crown of the swan broke off. They quickly exchanged the toy for a new one.
