Jellycat Bashful Unicorn – Soft Toy, S

This is a sweet soft small toy purchased for a newborn baby. Having purchased Jelly cats before I assumed and was reassured this was suitable for a newborn BUT THE LABEL ON THE TOY SAYS IT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDEN UNDER 12 MONTHS. This may be due to the fluffy tail and mane which I think could shed causing a potential problem. We had to send this for the older sister which was OK. However purchasers need to know this as the fluffy areas can and have caused problems with babies. Those of us who knit for babies know not to use angora, mohair or fluffy yarns because of danger baby will inhale the fibres. There may only be a small risk here but there is one all the same.

Christmas present for my niece, she requested a jellycat unicorn but I didn’t really know what it was! This was just what she wanted but it was much smaller than I expected and I didn’t expect it to be a beanie. Luckily, she loved it anyway!

Smaller than I expected as part of the description said 30cm (less than 20cm when it arrived, and I double checked description and it does state the size I received in another section - but misleading though). Presuming now that this was the size of the box it came in?!Lovely little toy that will be fine for the person receiving it. I've found jellycat toys to be lovely overall.

This is not as described in the technical detail measurements. Extremely expensive for the item received. Sadly needed for a gift and I now have no chance to exchange or receive a refund. Very poor experience.

This item was much smaller than I was expecting. You can buy a medium size Jellycat bashful Unicorn for a similar price at John Lewis. So this was not worth the money paid. Furthermore, to add insult to injury it then cost me £3.99 to post it back!!!

This is tiny and way over priced for the size, it’s not very cute either! Very disappointing for Jellycat.

Looking at the price I assumed I was getting the medium-sized toy, turned up and it was the small one. My fault I know, and have returned it.If you want this, shop elsewhere and get the larger toy for the same money.

Bought this thinking it was a 30cm one as stated in the description, at its most stretched out its 23cm from the tip of its horn to its stretched out feet.Returned immediately for a refund. Fuming.
