This is a hi-flow fitting, designed for pumped or mains pressure systems. **Q: Is this any good for mixer tap fed showers guys?** A: Yes - the shower head can be used with any mixer tap fed showers, boiler or hot water heater. You just need to have a 1/2" male threaded shower arm to install the shower head. Our shower heads can be used with hot water or heater. The main body is ABS plastic (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene). This is the same material that Lego blocks are made from. ABS is a hard and durable plastic that is stable through a broad range of temperatures. Though the shower head (being made of ABS plastic) can withstand high temperatures, please do not shower in temperatures greater than 140°F / 60°C. I would question as to whether you have actually installed the shower head, the reason I question this is I have installed mine without removing the flow restrictor and it works perfectly well.
