Tried a rag and some acetone on the housing and the blade, no plastic came off on the rag. Can't say the same for the wires, they did somewhat dissolve with the acetone. And the way the air flows, it will go over the wires which are slightly exposed in the wire channel. **Q: will this work for replacing a .11 amp fan?** A: If it is the same physical size, and the CFM requirement of your device is met, then yes. Air flow would be the critical factor. Since it draws less current than your original, you should have no problems.
