I was quite unsure at first because I could not understand from the instructions if I had to put it on while my hair was wet or dry. In the end, I just soaked my dry hair with some of it, trying to get to the scalp. It was a slimey business. I'll give you some background. My scalp had been itching for two weeks. Anti-daindruff or skin treatment formulas shampoos did not help. It was painful at times, and got worse when I scratched. So, my head was soaked with it and I left it there sometime, maybe for an hour. It took me four washes across two days to get it off completely, because it was quite oily, or greasy, but then... Voilà. I almost felt no itching during the night and it eventually stopped in a couple days. I didn't even have to apply it again.
