Review: Protected an iPad run over by multiple cars! - I put a slightly older version of this on my son’s iPad a couple years ago along with a decent glass screen protector. (I knew my son would probably be rough with the iPad.) Then a couple weeks ago, a family member accidentally set my son’s iPad down on top of his car, forgot it was there, and drove away. By the time he realized his mistake, the iPad had fallen off and had been directly run over by multiple cars. We assumed the iPad would be toast. But to my great surprise, the only thing broken was the screen protector and the front cover part of the Otterbox case (which had only minimal crack damage). The actual iPad was completely fine - no damage at all, and it works perfectly! Needless to say, I bought a new Otterbox Defender iPad case to replace the old one. That was pretty much the ultimate test of its strength, and it passed with flying colors. Buy this case - it’s awesome and crazy strong!

Very sturdy case. Big fan of Otterbox for my Iphones. The stand is a bit flimsy and I could see it being easier to break. But, fingers crossed my 8 year old doesn't break it. The outer shell/stand can fit on the back or the front for screen protection. It's a tight fit and harder to get off
