As the probe needs cleaned every time its used .. i use a micro fibre cloth thats old and rough and that removes any thing thats left on the probe 😁 **Q: Hello, there are a bunch of plants missing from the list, e.g. anthurium. How do you deal with that?!** A: I use the soil moisture meter on all plants, works fine. **Q: Does this work on orchids growing in bark?** A: i wouldn't think so, as the bark holds the moisture and you can't dip into a piece of bark as you would soil. (Only my opinion and I may well be wrong!) **Q: Would this work for my outside roses in tubs** A: Works anywhere if you use it as a portable tester and just poke it in the soil. I would not consider leaving it in place outside though as the meter end does not look to be weather proof.
