After tightening you then unscrew the screw and you can then mount whatever you like. I used these to hang heavy framed posters and they worked wonderfully. Just a caution: There are really hard to remove and when you do you'll have a large hole to patch. Woodworkers express has them, they're called FastCap SB-ANCHOR 10 PC SpeedBrace Wall Anchor, PK/10. Be sure to choose the one for the thickness of your wall if you know it. My walls are about 1.25 thick so I make sure they don't butterfly less than 1.25 from the screw collar. **Q: Does the airport extreme sit securely in the bracket or is there a chance of knocking it out of the bracket since it is not secured at the top?** A: It sits securely in the bracket. There is an opening in the base of the bracket where the power wire plugs in.
