I noticed one review said sponges didn't grow. I made similar mistake as the description is a bit misleading. I opened a bean and carefully pulled out one see creature, dropped it in the water waiting for a miracle... nothing happened, it did not grow.In fact, you need to drop the whole capsule in warm water. The coating is made of material that dissolves in water. The shapes then spread and look as if they 'grow'.2.5-year old girl was not too impressed. Perhaps she might like it more when she is a bit older.However, I must say, this is a good option as a small gift or party bag filler.It also adds some novelty to bath time.Sponges themselves do stick to tiles or the tub, bit only when wet.I am also concerned about the coating of the beans, although it dissolves in water, I don't know what materials it is made of.
