The tip issofter than the remaining portion of the dildo which makes for a comfortable insertion and thrusting without any pain. The dildo starts toget firmer about 1.5 or so down from the top. The outer layer is so lifelike with the textured finish that if you were blindfolded you would thinkit is a real penis. Tantus silicone material seems real durable. I use a hybrid silicone lube and the texture holds enough of the lube tomake it glide very easily.If you are new to pegging, I would say this is excellent equipment although you may need to work up to 1.5" width but buying a "Premium" producton the start of your journey will make the ride much easier. One good tip in using this dildo is to let it soak in warm water to eliminate a cold feelingduring insertion and use. I'm hopeful that the seller will contact me to set up an exchange for the 6 inch version...at which time I will reassess my overall rating.
