I haven't tested it in comparison with professional pulse oximeters to check its reliability but seems to be working correctly.It has a rechargeable battery which is nice as you dont have to spent money buying batteries.The battery can be charged through any usb port or the supplied usb charger(usb to mini sub cable supplied also).The only drawbacks I can mention are that the indications are set towards the user and not towards the one that performes the examination and it can't be set otherwise. Moreover the indications are not very large and older people may have difficulty in reading them. It looks well build and comes in a nice case. It did not work at all. I then tried it on my toddler son (2.5years old). It also could not get a reading from his finger.
