Our 2 year old and 4 year old had a hard time picking up the pieces as they are thinner and not thick for small fingers and developing motor skills. I felt the magnet on the back didn't have quite the "stick" to the magnetized surface that it should have. There are lots of small pieces and the hands and feet of the board figures are abstract -- circles and squares, which does teach shapes, but if you're looking for actual figures and farm animals, this does not have legs and tails. The lid does not lock or latch on, either, so the pieces are easily dumped out in the toy bin. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Compact and Portable *by R***S on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 29, 2017* 3 yr old granddaughter loves it as she likes drawing, so the magnetic/dry erase side is great. Chalkboard side is ok, but chalk is very light. Erases very well though. Not so crazy about the little magnetic pieces that come with it, but we already had a lot of letters to use that work just as well.
