You have the use silicone caulking on the top where the wires go in; you have to use an pair of pliers to gently twist the bottom cap off the bottom or water builds up in the bottom of the tube. I learned the hard way! P. S. The lights are easy to install and look very pretty at night. However we simply don’t get enough sunlight in northern Ohio in winter even with a south facing home. The lights only last a couple hours before running out of power. I wish there was more wire between lights and they had a little more weight to them. I had to tape a small weight to some of them so they would hang straight down.
