Do you need to cut the top?** A: Screw the blue part of the lid until you hear a snap. That breaks the safety seal and you can open and close it like a regular cap. Once the seal is broken the cap consist of the top of the bottle and the blue part. I use these bottles in hospital. A lot of nurses don't know how to open them. **Q: Does it stay Sterile once opened?** A: No nothing stays sterile once exposed to air. You just keep screwing the blue part on till you hear crack, then the top plastic part becomes part of the blue lid and it screws on and off. As too can see from the video though, it still doesn’t seal at all.
