Because of my skin condition, I probably use this a lot more than the average person would have to. I have had this one since November and still have more than half left, so I'm estimating that it will probably last me another 3 months, which makes 5 months in total. Which product/s can be useful in reducing them** A: I actually use the Dead Sea salt on my face once a week to exfoliate and it works wonders. I don't know about dark spots but one things I have heard works well for skin is an herb called kacip fatimah. **Q: DOES IT TONE YOUR SKIN?** A: Terri if by tone you mean tighten and make firm where it was once flabby I Am unable to answer your question...However if you mean soften and make smooth where once it was rough dry and patchy the a resounding YES. I used this product on my extremely dry cracked heels, elbows and knees initially and noticed how soft and creamy my skin was after even the first use.... I use this lovely scented (to me)very scratchy product as an exfoliant for the dry dead skin on the aforementioned place but also use it on the very delicate skin on my face neck and dΓ©colletΓ© area as it smoothes and soothes these areas as well. It's used as a scrub, so you take a small amount and massage it into your skin to exfoliate and moisturize. Then you rinse it off. You could do this with a bowl full of water instead if your husband is too worried about it ruining your drains.
