Tv only has one optical out so I needed one feed to to my main amp and the other to the Mixamp. Works perfectly. I was concerned there may be some drop in quality but everything is exactly the same as with a single connection. Also has the advantage of letting me get a surround sound feed via the TV from Netflix Kodi etc into my headphones on Mixamp. (anyone else wanting to do this, you need to change the setting on the ps4 from the normal 'optical' priority to hdmi priority. This worked but sound was coming from the TV and the soundbar at the same time and the remote just adjusted the sound on both at the same time. Ok at lower volumes but as the volume was increased there was a distinct echo and you could not adjust one independently. I have one "out" connected to a 10m optical lead but no sound (the lead is fine). How do I solve?** A: I tried out this by splitting optical 'out' on my Cd player to 2 separate DACS. I could only get sound on one Dac. Both leads were only a metre long. Tried individually, no problem sound on each single optical. Cant figure, I'm afraid, why splitter claims it will carry 2 signals. If u get a solution, please post.
