Product Description Excilor 2 in 1 wart and verruca treatment can be used by adults and children from 4 years old. It is recommended that adults apply the treatment to children. It us recommended that you consult your GP or pharmacist if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, diabetic or suffer from poor circulation or a skin condition. Read complete instructions before starting to use. For warts and Verrucas located on hands or feet ONLY. Do not use on skin that is not intact or if you have any doubt if the condition is a wart or a verruca. Only use in a well ventilated area. If the gel accidently makes contact with the healthy skin wash the area immediately with lots of soap and water to prevent irritation or burning of the healthy skin. It also recurrently spreads to the surrounding skin giving me athlete's foot. I went to the doctor and he prescribed a nail lacquer that is painted on, and I had to do this for six months three times a week, spending ages filing the nail each time and sterilising everything with alcohol rubs. After all this faffing around, it didn't work, and the infection spread to the nail next to it (I can only imagine through the dust from the nail filings). Anyway, I gave up with that, and went to the local chemist to see what they had. I noticed this stuff. It acts by altering the acidity of the nail and the nailbed so the fungus does not have optimal growth conditions. It weakens the fungus and eventually destroys it. It is used twice a day and you simply use the pen to "colour in" your toenail on top and under the edge. Clip off the infected parts of the nail as they grow out. That's it. No filing, sterilising, breathing in toenail/fungus dust, etc. It takes 30 seconds to treat my two nails. I have been using it for four weeks, and the nails are improving greatly. I am still using my first pen, but have ordered another, since it is important not to miss a single treatment and to carry on for a few months afterwards to ensure the infection is clear.

**Q: How to actually it?**
A: I think you have left an important word out here, Colette!  Perhaps you mean how do you apply it.  If so, just run the applicator over the nail lightly.  Don't press.  It is possible to get the solution in a bottle with a brush.  That is preferable in my opinion as you can see what you are applying.  All the best.  Sarah

**Q: If there is no visible liquid coming out, does it still work? Just bought it but can’t tell if there’s anything coming out.**
A: It is possible to see that the nail is wetted by the fluid in good light. This is harder to see on a fungus damaged nail than a norma! one. It's like a marker pen, just puts again film of liquid on the nail.

**Q: I've asked Excilor to be prescribed, but my GP could not find it in the formulary. Has anyone got it on prescription? And if so, under what name?**
A: You can buy it over the counter at most chemists, and I doubt that with the cost of this item that the National Health system would be able to afford it!

**Q: I have now put on nail varnish for the first time since using excilor. do i keep using it on the cuticles? i will wear nail varnish for the summer.**
A: Just ensure it soaks into the infected areas. But because the active ingredient is acetic acid, just use vinegar instead and save your money !
