**Q: What’s better the ep3, ep4 or ep5?**
A: Depends on your application.  EP3's only have a double baffle.  4's and 5's have a triple.  4's have a Noise Reduction Rating of 12dB caps out, 24dB caps in.  EP5's are set capped for an NRR of 26dB.

EP3's and 4's allow you to hear conversations when they're in and uncapped.

Depends on your use.  If it's for your lawnmower only and you don't talk to people, 6's.  If you're looking for multiple application, 3's or 4's.

I prefer the fit of the 3's, but I also wear hearing aids on the daily.

**Q: What is the difference between the ep3 and ep4? other sources list the ep3 as a lower nrr than the amazon description.**
A: The nrr rating is the same. The ep4 is triple flange instead of double flange

Excellent ear plugs for shooting muzzle loading black powder for reenactments. Because they are clear you hardly see them so fine to wear when safety is important but looking authentic is also a key aim. They are comfortable and with the plugs open you can still hear enough but stay safe. I'm very impressed with these. The little case is also handy to keep them about when needed.

Item arrived quickly after placing the order. They are used for motorbike riding. The combination of an ear plug and ear moulding to hold them in place is perfect. Colour coded for left and right fitting and contained in their own carry box. They fit snug and comfortable and once in place they remain in position even with a helmet!! They keep out all noise and with a choice of two sound settings they are perfect for motorbike use. I would recommend them to other bikers.

I recently bought these, and have used them with both blanks as well as on the shooting range, and I do not regret my purchase.They work well when doing patrols, where you have to be quiet, need to be able to listen to your surroundings, as well as communicate quietly with the rest of the unit.They reduce the noise nicely when firing blanks, but when I was on the shooting range, I felt they didn't quite reduce the noise enough.They are easy to fit into your ears, and don't move much, though sometimes need a little push to stay in the ear. Because of that, I've also bought the EP4, which has a longer stem.
