Wheel Balancer (Portable)

I got fed up with paying for my wheels to be balanced only to find on the first motorway trip the steering wheel wobbling. I don't think I'll ever save money with this but it is good to know that ALL of my wheels are balanced properly (even at the rear - can't believe how many dodgy tyre fitters don't do this if they get the chance!) It's a great tool & amazingly simple to use. I like to leave it out in my garage and let people guess what it is for! ( ok I know small things please small minds .....8-))

just got two new tyres fitted & balanced at local place on there machine which balanced perfect on there machine,after driving home i had a wobble through the steering wheel,i bought this balancer just to try it,one wheel needed very little weight to balance it but it worked a treat,so in that respect i recommend getting one as i would have had to get both tyres checked again fuel/time going back to garage,to use this it needs to be on a solid floor & out of the wind,the little adjuster screws are not great quality & it does not come with any balance weights,but worthwhile buying

Looks good. Easy to assemble with no adjustments required. However when I used it I saw the bubble moved to one side. To check the accuracy, I lifted the wheel off and turned it a half turn. The bubble moved in the same direction as before even though the wheel was in a different position. Possibly the sprung support ring is not allowing the wheel to sit evenly on the tapered part which supports the wheel while balancing but first impression is that it is very innaccurate.

Very easy to use. It is assembled without problems, the bubble is leveled, the tire is placed and the weights are placed. Simple and 100% effective.

A very useful tool, I had to modification it so that the bulls eye level in the middle easier to adjust by getting rid of the self tapping screws, tapping an M3 thread and purchasing 3 x M3 stainless steel allan key topped screws, which made it much more useful

Wheel Balance.I had to remove two of the springs to make it work. My 13in wheel & tyre was not heavy enough to compress all the springs at one time it still worked ok with just the two springs, as the rods kept the wheel level on the cone. I made the same improvements as other customers have done,ie taper the three level screw hols for m5 socket screws, with reduced with head width also, I also ran a countersink in to the center of the pivot seat. A good tool but like a lot of cheep Chinese kit needs finishing. If you are not it to a bit of basic engineering best not to buy this. You can pay a lot more for this tool with well known names on the box, but you get the same product.I would like to know if anyone has found softer springs, & if so from where?Update. the pivot point inside the cone is very soft aluminium & there is not a proper seat for the point to locate, this can be a problem as the post can sit of center.I have bored out the seat & installed a steel invert to take the pointer. There is a lot of talk about getting the base level, But the post on my one was leaning of to one side. Check it with a set square & move it about until straight, then lock the base nut & check again.If you just cant cat it straight. chock under the base until the post is straight. check with spirit level..

This works great fro what it is and is easy to use and set up. Takes up a lot of space in the garage though.

Fa il suo lavoro, l'importante è che la base sia posizionata su di una superfice in bolla e che la livella presente in cima sia tarata, per mezzo delle tre viti, più centrata possibile

Cela fait déjà plusieurs fois que je change mes pneus avec cet appareil... Je n'ai aucun problème pour l'équilibrage.... Il faut impérativement placer ce "Wheel Balancer" sur un sol parfaitement de niveau et cela fonctionne très bien.

Allerdings hatte ich vor 15Zoll Alufelgen damit zu Wuchten, die sind etwas zu leicht um die 4 Federn runterzudrücken. Darum 4 Sterne. Hab 2 Federn diagonal entfernt und bin mit dem Ergebnis Zufrieden.Würde mind. 16Zoll Alu oder Stahlfelgen empfehlen.

Es bastante preciso.pero sobre todo y muy importante antes de equilibrar la rueda.hay que centrarla muy bien en el equilibrador
