(I speak from the perspective of one who used IBM typewriters in the days before the appearance of word processors and was obliged to include regular servicing, purchase of carbon ribbons etc. into costs associated with my professional writing projects.)The price is amazing also and the backlit keys add an additional valued facility, especially for those who do not touch type.I was so impressed by this product, that I also purchased a further one for my father-in-law as a birthday present to replace his existing membrane keyboard, the letters on which are fast beginning to diminish with the effect of everyday usage.Consequently I would heartily recommend this product on the basis of my own experiences with it.For those, such as myself, who intend to use it mainly as a word-processing tool, please do not be put off by the on box description of "gaming keyboard" (although I am certain that it will suit gamers equally as well, due its excellent level of responsiveness.) ### ⭐⭐ Definitely not your last keyboard. *by J***E on 22 November 2016* connections got weak after about a year. deteriorated over two weeks until totally unusable. screws are made from a very weak alloy - i could barely get in to try to fix it (stripped heads). mechanical feel is decent, some good functions. worth more like £10 or less. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Budget LED keyboard with compromises. *by J***N on 2 February 2016* Good sturdy keyboard, however the keys are incredibly loud, so much so that someone in my house could hear them downstairs as the sound was travelling through my table and the floor.
